Maintenance Technician

• To perform all maintenance requirements for plastic injection molding machines and all production equipment to prevent malfunctions and reduce machine downtime. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
• Daily communication with Maintenance Lead and impacted employees
• Cleaning, greasing and oiling large plastic injection molding machines, replacing air, oil and water filters, repairs, inspecting, adjusting and/or replacing worn parts, recording work performed on machines, inventory of oils, greases, filters and supplies, safety checks on machines.
• Responsible for safe operation and handling procedures in work area.
• Create and complete work orders in computer systems.
• Good attendance and attitude.
• Strong understanding of Schematics

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing PMs on all injection molding machines and equipment.
• Changing oil and filters on molding presses.
• Inspection of all electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Maintain safety features on equipment.
• Maintain records on repairs and PMs to meet the requirements of the maintenance department.
• Perform any other plant PM or repairs to include:
• Auxiliary equipment.
• Etc.
• Maintain cleanliness standards always per Housekeeping Responsibilities.
• Assist manufacturing as required.
• Utilize safety equipment always, as appropriate for the work being performed
• Actively participates in the safety program.
• Completes special projects assigned by the Facility Engineering and Maintenance Manager.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical school certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance) highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a Maintenance Technician role.
