Hartzell Propeller is the leading manufacturer of aircraft propeller systems for general aviation, supplying propeller systems for aircraft manufacturers and modifiers around the world. We are a small, team-oriented company where individual contributions are encouraged and recognized. We are located in Piqua, Ohio, approximately 25 miles north of Dayton – the birthplace of aviation.
General Machinist Responsibilities- Run standard operating procedures on multiple‑axis machines
- Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems
- Change perishable tooling when required
- Install new tool holders
- Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines
- Follow inspection plans to inspect parts
- Communicate to co‑workers on status of cell operations
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Troubleshoot tooling as required
- Work holding (fixturing – chucking)
Machinist Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of experience.
Required Technical Skills- Machining Experience
- Millturn & Multi‑Axis Machines
- Swiss Machines
- Integrex and Mazak desired
- Competency in Machining Skills
- Tooling
- Fixturing
- Chucking
- Work holding
- Programming preferred
