Job Duties:
- Operate welding wire production and spooling machines.
- Remove completed wire spools from equipment and prepare them for shipment.
- Bag, label, staple, and package finished products.
- Stack completed products onto skids for transport.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production.
- Add flux (powder lubricant) as needed during the manufacturing process.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Butt weld wire together and re-thread machines when wire breaks occur.
- Cross-train on drawbench equipment that forms flat steel into tubular shapes.
- Enter production and quality data into computer systems.
Physical Capabilities:
- Frequently lift and move spools weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Perform repetitive lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work in a hot, dusty, and industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
