As a Production Associate, you are responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities may include but are not limited to receiving, stacking, storing, shipping, and transferring material and supplies; banding of material off machines; material identification; inspecting for quality conformance; and using the internal ERP system to receive and track use of material.

- Regular and reliable attendance
- Learn, understand, and follow all plant safety rules, policies and procedures
- Follow all set-up and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and quality
- Run entry-level equipment and ensure all processes are completed per standard operating procedures
- Process, package and ship orders accurately
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine outgoing shipments
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices
- Perform clean-up activities in production areas as assigned
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize plant procedures
- Other duties as assigned
The position will be in a steel slitting facility using machines, hand tools, and forklifts. The shop floor is not climate controlled, so at times it will be hot/cold. Proper PPE is required, including steel/composite toed shoes, arm guards, gloves, and safety glasses.
Physical Demands- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery

Qualifications- Basic math & reading skills
- Possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills and safety practices
- Possess a high level of initiative and personal accountability
- Ability to perform in a fast paced work environment
- Attention to detail and consistent work patterns
- Experience in a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic computer program knowledge for data entry
- Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
- Ability to learn and operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
- Forklift Certification a plus but not required
- Overhead cranes experience a plus but not required
- Previous experience with precision instruments a plus but not required
