Description

Basic Function:

Repairs and maintains electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position is primarily focused on electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, with secondary responsibility for general mechanical support as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems, including motors, relays, switches, and wiring.
  • Performs electrical testing using multimeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
  • Diagnoses and repairs issues with 240V / 480V 3-phase systems.
  • Replaces or repairs faulty electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Observes equipment in operation and identifies causes of electrical failures.
  • Assists with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance (preferred but not required).
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Dismantles equipment as needed to access and replace defective components.
  • Tests equipment after repairs to verify proper operation.
  • Provides mechanical support including basic repairs to hydraulics, pneumatics, and machinery as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures, especially related to electrical work.
  • Works with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Requirements

    Qualifications and Required Skills:
    • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong electrical background (primary requirement)
    • Experience working with 240V / 480V 3-phase systems
    • Ability to troubleshoot motors, wiring, relays, and electrical controls
    • Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, ammeters, ohmmeters)
    • PLC knowledge is a plus, but not required
    • Willingness to support mechanical maintenance as needed
    • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
    • Good problem-solving and communication skills
