Maintenance Technician

Hartzell Propeller is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to support precision manufacturing of advanced aircraft propeller systems at our Piqua, OH facility. In this entry-level role, you will perform routine mechanical maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, support preventive maintenance schedules, and assist with equipment setups and calibrations. You will follow strict safety and quality standards, accurately document work, and collaborate with experienced technicians and engineers.

This role offers hands-on training, exposure to aviation manufacturing, and growth in a culture of safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment
• Support and execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules
• Assist with equipment setups, changeovers, and basic calibrations
• Troubleshoot equipment issues under guidance of senior technicians
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and quality procedures
• Accurately document maintenance activities in logs or CMMSCollaborate with technicians, engineers, and operators to minimize downtime
• Identify and report equipment issues and improvement opportunities
• Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in clean, safe condition
• Participate in continuous improvement and training initiatives
