JOB SUMMARY: The Fabrication and Warehouse Manager is responsible for safe and efficient operations of fabrication and warehouse operations and development of employees that will ensure all projects meet budget and time requirements.

Key accountabilities in order of priority and with ideal time allocations are:

1. Monitors and schedules fabrication demand and coordinates with others to ensure all projects are properly resourced to meet project budget and time requirements. 55%

2. Ongoing review of fabrication, loading, and warehousing operations to identify and implement improvements in safety and operational efficiencies. 15%

3. Oversight of fabrication and warehouse teams to ensure continued growth and development of personnel in support of organizational goals and objectives. 10%

Note:

Twenty percent of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions and unplanned activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Interpersonal Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with reporting supervisors to resolve any employee issues, along with providing coaching to ensure the team is motivated and properly prepared for all their duties.

2. Maintains regular communications with the Project Management group to ensure smooth project flow through fabrication including such topics as: coordination and timing of material deliveries, storage of materials, if necessary, required adjustments for expedited projects, etc....

3. Maintain regular communications with scheduler to discuss upcoming fore casted work and accelerated schedules to make daily or weekly schedule adjustments to work schedule and staffing levels as necessary.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Accountable for planning appropriate staffing levels that will be required to meet fabrication demands and reviews any possible required adjustments with the Vice President.

2. Monitors and make appropriate adjustments to utilized labor that will maximize productivity levels, while also meeting project schedules.

3. Monitors technical information or verification processes, providing proper feedback and follow up on issues and communicating to the Vice President and other team members as necessary.

4. Ensures that regular inventory counts and material orders are taking place, so appropriate material levels are maintained to allow for timely project completion.

5. Conducts a weekly audit of stored materials to ensure that all materials are being properly stored and that any leftover from completed projects is being properly handled.

6. Provides feasibility projections and cost estimates on what it would take to accelerate projects based on customer requests.

7. Monitors and ensures that proper safety procedures and policies are being followed within fabrication, loading, and warehouse operations, including completing a weekly facility walkthrough inspection for health, safety and housekeeping.

8. Continuously pursue process improvements to improve manufacturing efficiencies and effective utilization of warehouse space.

9. Provide guidance and support to the Warehouse Foreman and Fabrication Foreman to assist them meet their primary duties and responsibilities.

10. Implement training plans for the Fabrication and Warehouse operations to ensure all employees are provided with an opportunity to develop and grow.

11. Serve as an operational back up for the Warehouse Foreman and Fabrication on an as needed basis.
