Rutgers University-New Brunswick's School of Engineering invites applications for multiple faculty positions across all ranks and areas of expertise. The School of Engineering includes seven academic departments and 10 engineering majors, offering exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. We seek outstanding scholars whose work advances one or more of our strategic priority areas:
Physical and Virtual Infrastructure, Healthcare Technology, Innovations in Energy, Defense and National Security, Experiential Learning and Professional Education. Appointments may be made in one or more engineering departments based on the candidate's expertise and interests.
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering. However, outstanding candidates at the Associate Professor level will be considered.
Structural Engineering:
Candidates from all fields of structural engineering are encouraged to apply. Candidates with expertise in innovative and smart materials for infrastructure/structural applications, resilient structures and materials, the integration of AI/ML in structural optimization, digital twin technology, advanced computational mechanics, and additive manufacturing in structural engineering are of particular interest.
The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong research program, contribute to existing and developing new teaching and training programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and provide service to the department, the school, and the university.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a closely related discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of scholarly productivity and external research support, as well as excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
