Assembly Technician – PCB / SMT

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with some flexibility.

About the Opportunity

A growing electronics manufacturer supporting RF, microwave, defense, aerospace, satellite, radar, and communications applications is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician with strong PCB, SMT, soldering, and electronic assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic assemblies, RF modules, subassemblies, and systems from drawings and work instructions.
• Perform soldering and rework under a microscope, including SMT components as small as 0402.
• Perform PCB modifications such as trace cutting and jumper-wire installation.
• Install wire harnesses, cable assemblies, relays, transformers, heatsinks, fans, and related components.
• Perform crimping, chassis wiring, mechanical assembly, and precision measurements.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with IPC-A-610 or similar standards.
• Rework units from Engineering and Test and communicate assembly issues as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of mechanical/electronic assembly experience.
• 2–3+ years of soldering and electronic assembly experience.
• Experience with PCB rework, SMT components, cable assemblies, crimping, and harnessing.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and identify component polarity/orientation.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610; certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, and communication skills
