Posting Summary - The Izgu research lab in Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University
- New Brunswick is seeking applications for a postdoctoral research position. The postdoc will be responsible for conducting interdisciplinary projects funded by the National Institutes of Health to establish new-generation therapeutics. These projects involve the synthesis and biological applications of molecular probes, small-molecule drugs, prodrugs, and degraders. Candidates with expertise in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, nucleic acid chemistry, and/or chemical biology will receive strong consideration.
Applicants should be exceptionally driven and self-motivated individuals with the highest commitment to excellence in scholarship.

Salary Details - $63,968

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmacology at the time of the appointment.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Substantial research experience with bioactive small molecules and/or nucleic acids. Strong publication record. Strong communication, writing, and mentoring skills.
