The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a post-doctoral associate to join the Tom Lin laboratory within the Department of Medicinal Chemistry as soon as possible. Successful candidates will participate in NIH-funded projects.

Minimum Education and Experience - A Ph.D. or Doctorate degree in a relevant research field is required. Knowledge of proteomics, protein purification, enzyme assays, and cell culture is preferred but not required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Candidates must be able to:
Demonstrate a solid training background in Proteomics and Cell assays. Candidates with mostly Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry training are discouraged from applying. Experience in protein purification from
E. coli will be considered favorably, but not significantly. Devote 50% research time to arginylation research. Use 50% research time for independent interests and collaborations. Design, develop and perform enzymatic and cellular assays. Write papers and grants independently with guidance. Participate fully as a team player inside the lab. Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities.
