Research Project Manager
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Manager for the Institute of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing (ISEOPS) in the School of Management and Labor Relations. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Manages complex, grant-funded research and applied research projects.
- Leads external engagement with employers, practitioners, and partner organizations.
- Contributes to research, analysis, and dissemination; and develop systems that strengthen the Institute's project infrastructure.
- Provides overall project management, scheduling and protocol development to successfully complete deliverables.
- Manages project progress and timeline adjustments and resource reallocation as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Manages project activities with internal teams and external partners and oversee the work of research assistants to support project goals.
- Schedules meetings and presentations related to the projects.
- Drafts written reports, technical reports, research and policy briefs, presentations, and external communications summarizing research methods, findings, and implications.
- Communicates findings and insights for assigned projects.
- Develops and manages research plans, data collection processes, and date analysis efforts to ensure deliverables are completed well and on time.
- Conducts data collection and perform qualitative research including interviews and survey administration.
- Synthesizes data collected from various qualitative and quantitative sources to generate findings.
- Communicates with research subjects.
- Communicates research methods and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Three (3) years of relevant experience performing qualitative research.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of employee ownership and low wage work. Experience coordinating large scale qualitative research projects related to employee-owned businesses and workers. Experience with qualitative data collection including interviews and/or site visits. Experience with qualitative research methods. Experience with project management and administration. Exceptional organizational skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in social science or social discipline. Minimum 5-7 year's work experience and/or graduate coursework in mixed method or qualitative research.
Equipment Utilized
- Qualtrics. Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Word.
