POSITION:
Certified Plumber
Twelve (12) month position
START DATE:
Immediately - pending criminal history clearance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver's license for the type of equipment to be driven, with no serious violations.
- Demonstrate knowledge, a minimum of three years of experience, and proficiency in several areas of maintenance (e.g., plumbing, painting, carpentry, masonry/concrete/tile, window glazing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, roof repair, plastering/spackling, field/playground maintenance, furniture repair, and small engine repair).
- Black Seal boiler license and Asbestos Certification preferred.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Building and Grounds
FUNCTION:
To provide safe and clean school environment.
SALARY:
Competitive salary and benefits package, including paid time off. Commensurate with experience and certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in a variety of areas and as assigned by Director of Buildings and Grounds, in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform only those maintenance and repairs that do not require a license or perform maintenance and repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed technician.
- Ensure that the work site and conditions are safe.
- Perform assignments insuring all schools and district sites may safely open and function. This includes working cooperatively with custodial employees during emergency operations.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and systems, reporting abnormalities and hazards.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure that all fire, safety, health, and environmental regulations are observed and exceeded.
- Maintain an adequate supply of parts and supplies usually used in repairs, and request needed supplies through the established procedures of the district.
- Maintain all tools and equipment necessary to carry out job functions and responsibilities.

MINIMUM SALARY: $65,000
