Centralized Trucking Dispatcher - Piscataway, NJ

Job Title

Coordinate and schedule equipment deliveries and pickups for the rental fleet, ensuring timely and efficient service to customers.

Optimize driver routes and transportation logistics to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.

Arrange and manage third-party transportation providers when internal fleet capacity is exceeded.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules, pickups, delays, and transportation updates.

Oversee driver performance, attendance, time management, electronic logs, and annual performance reviews.

Track, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels, and operational performance.

Collaborate with rental, sales, service, and other internal departments to support equipment movement and business operations.

Foster positive customer and employee experiences by resolving issues proactively and maintaining a high standard of service and communication.

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent required

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the service-related industry.

Knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations, requirements and oversized/overweight permits

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.

Strong time management skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
