Accountant, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Shell Beach, California. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in managing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end processes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and enter journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

- Conduct month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and verifying financial data.

- Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded properly.

- Reconcile account balances and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Utilize Quick Books and other accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.

- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Address any accounting-related inquiries or issues in a timely manner. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations.

- Proficiency in using Quick Books and other accounting software systems.

- Solid understanding of general ledger management and balance sheet preparation.

- Demonstrated ability to perform month-end closing processes accurately.

- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication abilities to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
