Tax Staff Position

We are looking for a diligent Tax Staff team member to support a public accounting team in California. This position focuses on preparing a broad range of tax filings, reviewing financial information for accuracy, and helping clients remain aligned with current tax requirements. The ideal candidate brings solid technical tax knowledge, strong organization, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with care and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state tax filings for individuals, business entities, and trusts while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review client financial records, organize supporting documentation, and analyze data needed to complete tax engagements.
• Contribute to tax research and planning efforts by applying current laws and regulations to client situations.
• Investigate tax notices, variances, and filing issues, then assist in developing appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with senior accountants and managers to deliver high-quality work across multiple client assignments.
• Maintain complete work papers and engagement documentation in accordance with firm expectations.
• Monitor updates in tax legislation and accounting guidance to support compliant and informed tax preparation.
