SALARY: Range 19 - salary placement from $3,671 to $4,689 monthly

Salary prorated based on start date and prior experience.

Under supervision to maintain buildings and grounds of assigned facility in a clean, sanitary and safe condition.

1. Graduation from high school or its equivalent.

2. One year or more of recent experience in custodial or maintenance work, preferably in a public school.

3. Knowledge of the safe and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment; methods of floor maintenance, cleaning restrooms, and other areas of school buildings; sterilization and sanitation methods used in custodial work; decision-making skills; must be able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.

4. Ability to prioritize tasks; make minor repairs in building facility; use a variety of power equipment; lift and move heavy supplies and equipment; maintain cooperative relations; lead and direct others.

5. Possess valid California driver's license.

1. Clean and maintain school facilities.

2. Set up and break down facilities such as gymnasium, cafeteria, multi-purpose room, theater, etc.

3. Make minor repairs and adjustments to building hardware, equipment, furniture and other items and move furniture as needed.

4. Open and secure facilities as required.

5. Lead and direct custodians assigned to site.

6. Check fire extinguishers periodically as required.

7. Receive, check, and deliver school supplies.

8. Order, maintain, and inventory custodial tools, supplies and equipment.

9. Generate work orders for maintenance repairs.
