Teacher's Aide - Pittsburg, California

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

• Prior paraprofessional or instructional aide experience in schools strongly preferred
• Ability to assist with classroom management and provide individualized support
• Familiarity with various learning styles and adaptations for students with different needs
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working one-on-one or in small groups with students
• Ability to follow educational plans under teacher guidance
• Willingness to assist with behavioral support and classroom organization
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Support students academically, emotionally, and socially per teachers' directives
• Assist with classroom activities, lessons, and assignments
• Help implement behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch
• Document progress and communicate with classroom staff as directed
• Foster a safe, respectful learning space for all students
• Provide support to students with special educational needs
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
