Software Developer Sr Advisor – GDIT

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Software Developer Sr Advisor ’ll tailor cutting‑edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients and make the end user’s experience your priority. This role supports the NAWCWD mission at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu.

• Design, develop, document, test, integrate, and modify software for database systems and integration of those systems with airborne electronic warfare systems.
• Develop, create, troubleshoot, and modify specialized utility programs and applications in support of real‑time systems.
• Perform hardware and software development planning in the incorporation of modifications into aviation systems.
• Study information needs, confer with users, study systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigate problem areas; follow the software development lifecycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Lead and mentor other software engineers and developers as required.

• BS or equivalent experience in a STEM field.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Software development, systems integration, engineering management skills.
• DoD Secret Clearance (current and attainable).
• Agile Framework, Scrum Master experience, collaborative teamwork, and strong communication skills.
• Preferred:
  Naval Aviation electronic intelligence systems knowledge; database development/administration.
• US Citizenship required.

On Customer Site – United States, California, Point Mugu.

Travel required:

less than 10%. Telecommuting:
Onsite. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Likely salary range: $147,292 – $199,278. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements.
