Job Description

The Pittsburg State University School of History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences is accepting applications for a part-time, in-person, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach for the Fall/Spring semester with a specific need in Social Work.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach in person and/or online sections at undergraduate level courses in the program areas identified.
Required Education and Experience - Time of Hire
  • Master's Degree in the field of study.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with online instruction.
  • Instructor experience in higher education or with adult learners.
Preferred Education and Experience -
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with a course management system (Canvas)
  • Doctorate degree from regionally accredited institution
  • Evidence of teaching excellence, both in-person and online
  • Interest and/or experience in teacher preparation
