Adjunct Lecturer Pool

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach in person and/or online introductory Spanish courses for Health Professionals, Technical Trades Professionals, and K-12 Educators at the undergraduate level.

Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire

• Master’s degree in Spanish or equivalent.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Prior instructor experience with Spanish for second‑language learners.
• Significant expertise in a desired secondary area of instruction (Health Care, Technical Trades, K‑12 Education, etc.).

Candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field. This degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Instructor experience in higher education or with adult learners.
• Experience with online instruction.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with a course management system (Canvas).
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
