Drawings are to include all views and dimensions necessary to manufacture the part. Understanding drafting principles, a familiarity of engineering terminology, and possesses mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Essential Functions:
* Uses Solidworks (CAD) to develop 3D designs from sketches and prototypes.
* Creates and revises 2D production drawings (detail and assembly drawings)
* Utilizes knowledge of various woodworking tools, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Other responsibilities as requested:
* Maintains electronic files stored on engineering vault & DMS
* Convert 3D models to STEP file format as needed
