Loan Officer / Lending, Credit Analyst, Loan Servicing
Overview
Our client in Weir, Kansas is looking to add an experienced Loan Officer / Commercial Lending Officer to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the lending process from start to finish, building strong customer relationships, and helping grow a loan portfolio with significant upside.
Responsibilities- Manage agricultural and/or small commercial loans from application through closing
- Own the full underwriting process, including financial review, credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring
- Work directly with borrowers to gather information, answer questions, and provide follow-up throughout the process
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand the loan portfolio
- Partner with internal teams to ensure loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with bank policies
- Monitor assigned portfolio performance and proactively manage renewals, follow-ups, and documentation needs
- Support the growth of a currently smaller loan portfolio of approximately $2M
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in agricultural lending and/or small commercial lending
- Must be able to independently manage the full underwriting process from start to finish
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statements, collateral, loan documentation, and borrower follow-up
- Ability to build trust with customers and maintain strong long-term relationships
- Comfortable working in a smaller team environment where ownership and follow-through are critical
- No specific software experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- MUST be able to commute to Weir, KS to work onsite each work day.
This is not an entry-level lending role. The team does not currently have the bandwidth to train someone from scratch, so prior hands-on loan officer experience is required. The right person will be confident stepping in, managing loans independently, and helping grow the portfolio over time.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys community banking, agricultural and small business relationships, and the opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing lending function.
