Eckerd Connects is an established long‑standing Functional Family Therapy provider in Kansas and we are seeking clinicians and social workers to join our expanding team in the Pittsburg area.

The FFT model is not your typical billable service hours and allows for a generous, flexible schedule. We provide a small caseload (8‑10 clients) which enables our family therapists to really help families and children, focusing on the clinical work and making a difference.

Salary Rate: $58,000

This is a hybrid position. Remote case management with travel required throughout the assigned area for home therapy visits.

• Conduct assessments and provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with FFT principles and practices, documenting treatment efforts to meet contract requirements and company policies.
• Provide at a minimum weekly one‑hour home‑based family therapy sessions to clients for families who have adolescents between 10 and 17, carrying a caseload of 10–12 families for an average of 12 weeks.
• Conduct FFT assessment, including review of referral information, engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context. Utilize the Strengths and Needs Assessment (SNA) at the onset of treatment and  must be administered within 72 hours of intake.
• Engage primary caregivers and other key participants in active change‑oriented treatment, identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement. Identify the nature of family relationships, risk and protective factors of each member, and the impact of behavior patterns on the family.
• Implement problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review, and strategy revision using the FFT analytic process.
• Develop an individualized service plan or update any pre‑existing plan ure involvement of youth and family in the plan development.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a licensable field such as psychology, social work, counseling, or a related subject area. Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensure as a social worker, licensed mental health counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist, or licensed professional counselor preferred.
• At least 2 years of applicable full‑time work or internship experience with delinquency populations, including individual, group, or family counseling. Preferred at least 2 years of in‑home service and previous experience with FFT.
• Hybrid position; set up office at home for case management and also available in Wichita and Pittsburg. Must be able to provide 24‑hour, 7‑day/week on‑call crisis intervention and work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) highly desirable.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to meet auto‑insurance requirements and drive for business purposes, including travel within counties covered by the caseload.

Eckerd Connects Functional Family Therapy is an empirically grounded, well‑documented, and highly successful family intervention program for youth ages 11‑18 involved in the juvenile justice system and their families. Intervention ranges from an average of 8 to 12 one‑hour sessions for mild cases and up to 30 sessions for more difficult situations, with an average length of service of three months.
