Job Description:

Integrated Behavioral Technologies, Inc. (IBT) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing behavioral therapy services to children and families across Kansas, with a focus on rural and underserved communities. We are currently hiring After school Behavior Technicians/Direct Service Providers to support school-aged children in the Pittsburg, KS area.

  • Schedule (School Year): Approximately 3:00 PM–7:00 PM , with flexible scheduling based on availability and desired hours
  • Location: In-home and community-based settings
  • Weekend opportunities available
  • Additional hours available during school breaks and summer
  • Pay: Starting at $15/hour , with higher starting wages based on education and experience. A shift differential is available for employees working with higher-intensity or higher-needs children.
About the Role

This position primarily serves school-aged children who benefit from consistent, active support and engagement. Successful candidates enjoy working directly with children, are comfortable supporting individuals who may display challenging behaviors, and thrive in an active, hands-on environment.

Behavior Technicians work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to implement individualized behavioral interventions using an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) framework.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-on-one support with children in home and community settings
  • Implementing treatment plans and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Teaching communication, social, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Collecting and documenting client data
  • Communicating regularly with caregivers and the treatment team
  • Following behavior support plans and adapting to program updates
  • Completing weekly communication reports
  • Participating in ongoing training, professional development, and competency checks

This position offers valuable experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities and is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in psychology, education, nursing, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, special education, social work, and related fields.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license or , reliable transportation, and current auto insurance (unless otherwise approved)
  • Ability to pass required criminal background checks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends
  • Ability to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within three months of hire if required for assigned caseload

Preferred Qualifications

  • College students or degree-seeking candidates
  • Experience working with children, especially individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Current RBT credential
  • Experience supporting individuals with high-intensity behavioral needs

Training & Professional Development

IBT provides comprehensive training and ongoing support, including:

  • Paid orientation and job-specific training
  • Reduced-cost or complimentary CPR and Safety Assist certification
  • Supervision for BACB certification (when applicable)

Employees are expected to successfully complete IBT's initial training program and demonstrate competency in client programming and data collection.
