Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the testing, alignment, repair, and proper operation of all surveillance equipment on property, including closed circuit television systems and electronic security devices.
General Accountabilities- Attend daily briefings and meetings, being on time and participating positively.
- Install and maintain all closed circuit television cameras, recording devices, expansion equipment, and related wiring on property, ensuring all surveillance equipment is functioning properly.
- Repair damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensure strict adherence regarding surveillance equipment capabilities and required coverage.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs designed to eliminate system failures.
- Maintain and program computer‑controlled matrix switches supporting the monitors and cameras.
- Inspect power supply and wiring to all surveillance equipment, identifying and correcting potential problems.
- Ensure an appropriate inventory of equipment and supplies is kept on hand at all times, and order and restock as needed.
- Consult with management and vendors on specific types of equipment needed for certain surveillance operations.
- Facilitate the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Work on actual projects or services to help achieve departmental objectives.
- Inform senior management of information necessary for the efficient operation of the casino.

- Be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lb., and to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Knowledge of video repair and maintenance techniques. Good dexterity is needed for installation and adjustment of cameras and use of hand tools. These skills are typically acquired through a minimum of three years of surveillance technician experience or a related field. Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos;
write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff, guests and the general public. Maintain confidential information.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
- Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and internal controls.
- Takes appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to appropriate levels of management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any team member that you have knowledge of.
