For more information, please see:  The EVS Lead is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations and direct supervision of the Environmental Services department with the goal of ensuring optimum property presentation. Duties and responsibilities include being a role model of our core values of Fun, Friendly and Community, and to provide direction of daily operational activities. To ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, aesthetics and guest satisfaction are maintained;

ensure compliance with all training/licensure requirements of staff; able to assist with the general upkeep of the facilities.

Accountabilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all-inclusive:

  • Act as a role model for providing Hometown Hospitality and deliver Fun, as well as enthusiastically support the core values of Fun, Friendly and Community.
  • Support and train EVS attendants in various tasks, as well as ensuring the results meet and/or exceed company expectations.
  • Work with the EVS Manager to create task and checklists, guidelines for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas. Use and enforce use of the assigned checklists.
  • Hold department pre-shift briefings and assign job tasks as per guidance of the EVS Manager.
  • Ensure operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of departmental MSDS sheets.
  • Ensure all spray bottles and chemical storage containers are properly labeled.
  • Work with the EVS Manager to build inventory pars. Review equipment and supply inventories and report inventory par variances.
  • Receive equipment and supplies and coordinate distribution and storage of such in an organized fashion. Adhere to 5S Principles of Sorting, Set in order, Systematically cleaned, Standardize and Sustained.
  • Ensure that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
  • Monitor equipment condition and ensure that it is properly maintained.
  • Conduct interactions in a gracious, kind and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous and responsive behavior, reflecting positively on the company and its core values of Fun, Family and Community.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
  • Working Conditions

    Must have ability to: accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs. Work with various chemicals adhering to all safety standards, including use of protective gear. Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Effectively communicate with all levels of team members, as well as outside contacts.

    Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Demonstrate leadership and fairness in dealing with guests and team members, and possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in staff. Be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate. Be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.,

    and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

    Job Qualifications

    Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Management experience and thorough knowledge of EVS, OSHA and Hazcom rules and regulations. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests and the general public.

    Working knowledge of Excel and Word required. Attention to detail and accuracy. Previous customer service experience preferred. Maintain confidential information.
