CAD Designer

• Preparing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for metal enclosures, panels, brackets, and assemblies.
• Converting customer specifications, sketches, and engineering concepts into comprehensive manufacturing drawings.
• Generating flat patterns for sheet metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, punching, and bending.
• Revising drawings based on engineering changes and production feedback to ensure flawless execution.
• Ensuring all drawings align with strict tolerances, material specifications, and industry standards.
• Collaborating closely with production, quality, and purchasing teams to determine build feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Maintaining organized drawing databases and document control procedures.
• Supporting prototype development and production troubleshooting when required.

• Academic background with a diploma or associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven track record with 2+ years of experience in a sheet metal or metal fabrication environment (preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, Inventor, or similar.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal build principles, bend allowances, and tolerances.
• Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake operations.
• Remarkable attention to detail, good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Physical ability to work in an office and on the manufacturing floor, with occasional visits to the shop floor.
