Inspection of parts and materials to verify acceptability and all related functions associated with the inspection process for aviation, defense and space.
Responsibilities- Daily inspection of parts and materials to verify acceptability and all related functions associated with the inspection process.
- Use of handheld inspection gauges and tools.
- Must be trained and certified for solder, crimp/harness, polymer, and ESD.
- Inspection using a microscope and some product bench testing.
- Ability to use computer systems to perform daily functions and documentation.
- Extensive use of ERP system for documentation.
- Retrieval, completion and filing of inspection records.
- Operation of vision systems and automated inspection equipment.
- Documentation review – incoming materials.
- Customer facing interactions.
- Provide technical feedback to manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by area supervisor that may not be listed above.
- High school diploma or GED.
- US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Compliance with all company safety practices.
- Focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to work overtime or alternate schedules as required.
- Basic math skills and ability to learn the ERP system.
- Completed or hold certifications in NASA solder inspections, NASA crimp/harness inspection, NASA polymer inspection, and ESD.
- Microsoft Office computer skills highly desirable.
