Fork Lift Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in building materials, is seeking a Fork Lift Operator to join their team. As a Fork Lift Operator, you will be part of the shipping and logistics department supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fork Lift Operator

Location: Pittsburg, KS

Pay Range: $18

Shift: Evenings (40 hour)

What's the Job?

• Operate forklift safely to load and unload products onto trailers and pallets.
• Read and interpret shipping documents and placards to ensure correct delivery.
• Stage stacks in shipping lanes and secure loads with banding, straps, and load bars.
• Assist in stacking doors for shipment, cleaning trailers, and managing shipping dumpsters.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area, adhering to safety and OSHA standards.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with forklift operation, including stand-up and propane/electric lifts.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Good hand/eye coordination and attention to safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
