Mercy is seeking an experienced RN Labor & Delivery nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries, monitor fetal and maternal status, administer medications, and support families through the birthing experience. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

- Provide nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients and newborns.
- Continuously monitor maternal and fetal status, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring strips.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring adherence to safety and infection‑control protocols.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products per provider orders and hospital policies.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians, and ancillary staff to coordinate care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence‑based practice projects.
