Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Via Christi Village Pittsburg, a leading provider of nursing and medical care in Pittsburg, KS. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in overseeing facility wound care and the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring exceptional patient care and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

• Oversee facility wound care, including appropriate identification of wounds, implementing treatments, ensuring education of nursing staff, and continued evaluation.
• Assist with overseeing daily nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and coordinating patient care activities.
• Assist with developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, addressing individual needs and preferences.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and job satisfaction.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and mentoring to improve staff performance and patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports, medication administration records, and staffing data.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing at Via Christi Village Pittsburg, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and staff. This role includes on-call duties.

• Must have a current RN license and at least one year of experience in a nursing leadership role.
• Preferred wound care experience.
