Responsibilities
Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.Use bakery equipment like refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes.Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.Properly use kitchen equipment such as stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.Understand store layout and locate products for customers.Stay current with ads and promotions.Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions.Monitor inventory and stocking conditions.Maintain proper temperatures and logs for cases and coolers.Create a welcoming environment for customers.Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.Report accidents involving customers or employees.Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.Manage conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications
