Job Title: Retail Sales Associate – Mobile (Cox Communications, Inc.)
Location: Cox retail location (must work on site). No remote option.
Compensation: Hourly base rate $15.29–$22.88 plus annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.
Responsibilities- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers’ wants and needs.
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the store retail environment.
- Properly handle cash transactions.
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training.
- May be required to work in other locations in the same geographic area.
- Minimum: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell using a consultative, solutions‑based approach.
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
- Capacity to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented team environment.
- Mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
- Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning new communication products, services, and accessories.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
- Preferred: Some college experience focusing on sales, business, and/or management.
- One year of experience in a related field (sales, retail sales, service industry).
- Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
