Retail Sales Associate

Job Title: Retail Sales Associate – Mobile (Cox Communications, Inc.)

Location: Cox retail location (must work on site). No remote option.

Compensation: Hourly base rate $15.29–$22.88 plus annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customers’ wants and needs.
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
• Assist with the opening and closing of the store retail environment.
• Properly handle cash transactions.
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
• Support fellow sales agents when needed.
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training.
• May be required to work in other locations in the same geographic area.

• Minimum: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell using a consultative, solutions‑based approach.
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
• Capacity to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented team environment.
• Mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
• Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning new communication products, services, and accessories.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
• Preferred: Some college experience focusing on sales, business, and/or management.
• One year of experience in a related field (sales, retail sales, service industry).
• Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
