Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will handle transactional accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The position is hybrid after training and offers strong benefits, including a parking lease.

Responsibilities:

- Manage transactional accounting tasks for a designated portfolio of properties.

- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation.

- Handle corporate tax filings and sales tax reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support.

- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review.

- Ensure timely completion of all accounting tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within property management.

- Proficiency in corporate tax filings and sales tax preparation.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

- Familiarity with accounting software

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to analyze financial data and generate detailed reports.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
