About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team. This position reports directly to the CFO and plays a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit customer invoices
- The Accounting Clerk will receive, code, and post payments
- Perform account, bank, and general ledger reconciliations
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment or delayed payments
- The Accounting Clerk will verify and process vendor invoices
- Sort, code, and enter Accounts Payable data
- Research discrepancies and resolve unpaid invoice issues
- Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and financial records
- The Accounting Clerk will assist with employee expense reports and related documentation
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Quick Books
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience preferred
