Staff Accountant – Greensburg, PA (Contract-to-Hire)

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance tasks including payroll and sales tax
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or improvement opportunities

• Public accounting experience is REQUIRED
• Hands-on experience with Quick Books (REQUIRED)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills

• Experience in a CPA firm or client-facing accounting environment
• Exposure to tax preparation and multi-client accounting support
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with additional accounting systems

• Self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
