Accounting Assistant

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an Accounting Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This onsite position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional looking to grow their accounting and administrative experience in a fast-paced business environment.

The Accounting Assistant will support billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general office operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are tracked, and business records remain organized and up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including payment tracking and collections follow-up
  • Support accounts payable processing and vendor invoice management
  • Maintain accurate records within Quick Books Online
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with financial recordkeeping
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Track and maintain business documentation and operational records
  • Assist with reporting and data entry projects
  • Help improve organization and efficiency across accounting and office functions

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, billing, or accounts receivable/payable experience
  • Experience using Quick Books Online is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
