ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Pittsburgh, PA
$95,000- $115,000
Our client is a well-established, multi-state nonprofit organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting.

OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER ROLE:
- Lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team.
- Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
- Oversee vendor payments, customer billing, cash applications, and collections.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial records while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Support annual financial audits and collaborate closely with the Controller on reporting and special projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNING MANAGER:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Five (5)+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close, account reconciliations, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or Paycor is preferred.
