As an Accountant you will:
Responsible for managing revenue accounting activities, supporting financial reporting processes, and providing accounting guidance on client contracts. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate revenue recognition, maintain accurate financial records, and support key operational and strategic initiatives.
This is a full-time, temp to permanent opportunity. The hours would be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The ideal candidate will:
- Analyze customer contracts and revenue arrangements to determine appropriate accounting treatment, including deferred revenue recognition and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss statements and balance sheets for Eagle entities, ensuring accuracy and identifying significant variances or trends.
- Partner with business teams to evaluate proposed client contract structures and provide accounting guidance related to revenue recognition and financial implications.
- Serve as a key participant in billing system migration projects, supporting process design, testing, implementation, and issue resolution to ensure a seamless transition.
- Perform legal entity controllership activities, including account reconciliations, financial close support, balance sheet reviews, and adherence to internal control requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, analyzing financial results, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, legal, and commercial teams to address accounting matters and improve business processes.
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation for internal and external auditors as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
REQUIRED:
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in accounting and or finance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and deferred revenue accounting.
- Experience analyzing financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Ability to interpret complex contracts and assess accounting impacts.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments and participating in system implementation or migration projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Pay Rate: $40.00 to $50.00 PER HOUR.
