  • Assist with S-Corporation, partnership, and other pass-through entity tax filings, including related state and local requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate sales and use, gross receipts, payroll-related, and other miscellaneous tax filings.
  • Support the preparation and review of annual tax returns, extensions, estimates, and related tax schedules.
  • Research federal, state, and local tax matters and communicate findings and recommendations to the Tax Director and accounting leadership.
  • Assist with tax accounting, tax provisions, and related financial statement reporting.
  • Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
  • Assist with tax audits, notices, inquiries, and information requests from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
  • Collaborate with accounting, insurance, legal, project cost, and operational teams on tax and accounting-related matters.
  • Assist with evaluating internal controls, identifying accounting and tax risks, and implementing process improvements.
  • Support corporate credit card accounting, expense reporting, and other finance-related processes as needed.
  • Prepare financial analyses, management reports, and special projects for the Tax Director and Controllers.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting team on tax-related questions and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax compliance processes, reporting, documentation, and overall efficiency.
  • Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of progressive accounting and tax experience, with public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing or supporting federal, state, and local tax compliance.
