Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payment operations for a Contract position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role focuses on accurate invoice handling, timely disbursements, and dependable financial recordkeeping using Abila MIP. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and can manage accounts payable tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Review incoming invoices for accuracy, assign the appropriate accounting codes, and enter payment details into Abila MIP.

- Process vendor invoices in a timely manner while maintaining organized records and supporting documentation.

- Prepare and complete check runs according to established schedules and internal controls.

- Reconcile payable transactions and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Monitor outstanding invoices to help ensure prompt payment and accurate ledger activity.

- Maintain accounts payable files and documentation in accordance with company procedures and audit standards.

Requirements - Experience performing accounts payable duties in a business environment.

- Proficiency with invoice coding, invoice entry, and payment processing.

- Hands-on experience preparing or supporting check runs.

- Familiarity with Abila MIP software for accounts payable activities.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data.

- Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple transactions efficiently.
