Staff Accountant

Under the direction of the CFO, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. The Staff Accountant will perform journal entries, organize and update financial reports and will support the accounting department in carrying out these responsibilities to meet financial deadlines.

• Perform daily bank and intercompany reconciliations, along with weekly credit card reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, update general ledger, account reconciliations, analysis and compilation of monthly reporting
• Assist with the yearly budget process and quarterly forecast as needed
• Assist outside accounting firm with annual review and tax compliance including 1099 reporting
• Communicate regularly with individuals in other departments/locations to ensure all required submissions are completed.
• Ability to identify and implement modifications to processes to improve efficiency within the accounting department and the organization.
• Other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company CFO.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
• 3-7 years of related experience required.
• Strong Excel skills including an understanding of complex formulas. Use of AI
• Detail and deadline oriented with strong organizational and documentation competencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00
