We’re seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a small, steadily growing non-profit organization. Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including processing payments by check and ACH and reconciling receipts
Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper approvals and accurate vendor files
The Accounting Specialist will process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and monitor vendor statements for discrepancies
Record daily deposits and incoming payments, reconcile bank accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
The Accounting Specialist will track grants and donations while ensuring compliance with fund usage guidelines
Prepare schedules, documentation, and reports for audits and support internal and external review processes
Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows within the accounting department
Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and support the broader finance team as needed
Accounting degree and relevant accounting experience
Quick Books Desktop experience is a plus; training is available
Hardworking, detail-oriented, highly organized, and collaborative
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of general ledger processes, reconciliations, and basic accounts receivable/payable procedures
Exposure to grant tracking or non-profit accounting is a plus
Support the financial operations of a growing, mission-driven non-profit
Gain hands-on experience across AP, AR, reconciliations, grants, and audit preparation
Work closely with upper management and a supportive accounting team
