Responsibilities:
- Sort, index, and organize incoming documents by case and type.
- Docket deadlines, maintain attorney calendars, and anticipate case events like depositions.
- Prepare file folders, build databases, and create indexes for efficient access.
- Retrieve files quickly across open/closed matters; manage file room and office-wide organization.
- Assemble binders, label records for storage, and coordinate with team for optimal filing systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma + 1 year relevant training or experience.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and deadline management.
- Excellent verbal/written communication for all levels (attorneys, staff, clients).
- Highly organized, proactive team player with independent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); iManage/Prolaw a plus.
- Estates & Trusts experience preferred.
