Clerical, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
As a Clerical Assistant 3 with the Department of Environmental Protection, you will help manage records that support programs throughout the region. In this role you will work independently and as part of a team that keeps filing systems organized and accessible. This position supports the records management unit by maintaining organized filing systems, reviewing requests, and ensuring data accuracy in multiple record formats. The work strengthens office operations and helps staff access reliable information across the region. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Management: Maintain centralized filing systems and ensure accurate data entry across multiple formats
- Document Review: Examine incoming materials to confirm proper file placement and adherence to established procedures
- Database Accuracy: Update electronic records, verify bar codes and apply naming standards for consistency
- Public Scheduling: Arrange and manage public review appointments and process related requests with professionalism
- Microfilm Preparation: Prepare records for microfilming and coordinate delivery and retrieval with storage locations
- Staff Coordination: Train support staff, assign tasks and monitor progress to maintain efficient workflow

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).

- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
