Descriptionof Work
As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will oversee inmate workers while maintaining, receiving, and distributing inventory within the warehouse and commissary area at SCI Mercer. This will include:
- Instructing inmates in the standard principles and practices of storeroom operations
- Inspecting materials and matching packing slips with purchase orders
- Ensuring products are safely unloaded and distributed
- Submitting requisitions for inventory replenishment
- Preparing routine reports and monitoring completion of work assignments
- Operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, and make deliveries

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55

- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
