Corrections Stock Clerk - SCI Mercer

The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer is seeking a motivated and dependable Corrections Stock Clerk. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will oversee inmate workers while maintaining, receiving, and distributing inventory within the warehouse and commissary area at SCI Mercer. This will include:

• Instructing inmates in the standard principles and practices of storeroom operations
• Inspecting materials and matching packing slips with purchase orders
• Ensuring products are safely unloaded and distributed
• Submitting requisitions for inventory replenishment
• Preparing routine reports and monitoring completion of work assignments
• Operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, and make deliveries

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training

• You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
• You must be able to perform essential job functions

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
