Job OverviewAmerican Marine Canvas & Upholstery is a leading provider of custom marine canvas and upholstery for luxury yachts, sportfish, and large vessels across South Florida. We combine advanced 3D digital technology with high-quality materials to deliver unparalleled craftsmanship. We are seeking a meticulous and insightful Data Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time position based in our South Florida operational area.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our organisation, transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence that drives strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The salary for this position ranges from $35,000 to $95,000 USD per annum
, dependent on experience.
- Collect, clean, and interpret complex data from various sources, including sales, production, and customer databases.
- Analyse sales figures and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and to better understand our client base.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to track key performance indicators for senior management.
- Evaluate operational data from our 3D digital patterning and fabrication processes to identify areas for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
- Conduct market research on the luxury marine industry to support strategic planning and business development.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven insights.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of company data, implementing validation processes where necessary.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Demonstrable experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data modelling, pivot tables, and complex formulae.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage projects independently.
- A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is highly desirable.
- Experience with in the marine or luxury goods industry would be a significant advantage.
