The Systems Programmer/Analyst I will assist the Translational Neuropsychopharmacology and Neuroimaging Lab by preprocessing and quality‐assuring multimodal neuroimaging data; developing and maintaining scripts for statistical analysis and automated reporting; troubleshooting technical issues and providing tier‐1 support to faculty, postdocs, and students; creating training materials and implementing SOPs for data handling and compliance; and collaborating with the PI, research staff, and trainees to translate study requirements into reliable, reproducible technical solutions.
Important:
This is a full time, in-person role with a non-tentative hourly schedule.
This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities:
+ Neuroimaging & QA Data Analysis:
Preprocess, quality‐assure, and analyze; ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
+ Statistical Scripting & Automation:
Develop, test, and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for statistical analyses, batch processing, and automated reporting.
+ Infrastructure & Systems Support: Serve as first‐line support for software, hardware, and network issues; assist faculty, postdocs, and students with technical challenges.
+ Standardization & Knowledge Sharing:
Create and deliver user guides and workshops; develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for data handling and compliance.
+ Collaboration & Project Coordination:
Partner with the PI, collaborators, research staff, and trainees to translate study requirements into technical solutions and track system deliverables.
+ Candidates for the Systems Programmer/Analyst I position should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field from an accredited university.
+ Required qualifications include: advanced Python programming for modular software design and scientific data processing (Num Py, Sci Py, Pandas), working proficiency in R for data/statistical analysis, linear mixed-effects modeling, and data visualization (dplyr, tidyr, lme4, ggplot2).
+ Additionally, candidates should have direct experience handling neuroimaging file formats (NIfTI, DICOM, BIDS) alongside working proficiency in core neuro tools like Free Surfer, FSL, SPM, and HCP.

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
