Location: El Paso, TX to Deming, NM
Pay: $21 $ 38/hour, based on experience and certifications
Schedule: 8 weeks on, 1 week off, subject to project needs
Hours: Approximately 60 hours/week, typically 6 days/week at 10 hours/day

Ripple Effect Consulting is hiring experienced Construction Materials Testing Field Technicians for a long-term border wall infrastructure project based near El Paso, TX and Deming, NM. This is a great opportunity for CMT professionals who are open to travel, steady hours, long-term project work, and field-based testing on a high-profile construction program.
This role is ideal for technicians with hands-on field experience and an active ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification.
What You'll DoAs a Field Technician, you will support construction quality control and materials testing activities in the field. Responsibilities may include:
Performing field testing and inspections on construction materials
Conducting concrete testing, sampling, and documentation
Working alongside project teams to support quality and compliance requirements
Accurately completing daily reports and test records
Communicating with field staff, supervisors, and project representatives
Following project safety, testing, and documentation procedures
Qualified candidates should have:
Experience as a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician
Current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification
Construction, civil, geotechnical, or materials testing field experience
Ability to work extended schedules and travel-based rotations
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to pass required compliance checks, including drug screen, background check, and MVR
This project is expected to run long term, with the longest current project extending into 2028 and additional project opportunities anticipated.
Technicians can expect:
8 weeks on, 1 week off, depending on project needs
Approximately 60 hours per week
6-day workweeks, typically 10-hour days
Rotating weekends off
Paid travel to and from the project
Company truck provided
One week of onboarding/training in Pittsburgh
Per diem is built into the project and may vary by assignment. Current travel support includes:
Lodging support of up to $110/night
Food allowance of $60/day
Lodging may be arranged by the company
Candidates using a trailer or arranging their own Airbnb may receive the lodging allowance directly, depending on project arrangements
Local candidates are welcome, and out-of-state candidates will also be considered.
